By the middle of the week buyers suddenly seem to have woken up to the fact that there weren’t quite as many pigs about as they thought and a “black hole” in pig supplies is getting bigger due to the rising number of ASF outbreaks which have now occurred in 13 Asian countries as well as closer to home and has finally started to filter through to the UK, but not before time.
Peter Crichton FAAV has over 40 years' experience and specialises in providing clients with a wide range of independent professional advice in connection with rural matters including Tenancy Agreements, rent reviews, the sale and valuation of farm machinery, probate, tax and year end valuations.
Peter is also heavily involved in pig industry consultancy work and markets weaners, finishers and cull sows on a live and deadweight basis throughout the region.
Meet The Team
Caroline Chamberlain is Peter's personal assistant and a trainee agricultural valuer providing secretarial and auction administration support as well as managing the property side of the business and dealing with professional rural land agency work.
Rita McGregor is responsible for livestock invoicing and payments, VAT and accounts administration and running the client account as well as being an invaluable member of Peter's auction accounts office team.
Cameron McKenna BSc (Hons) MRICS ND Ag provides Peter with town and country planning advice, including justification reports and submitting planning applications for projects large and small, specialising in agricultural buildings.
Cheryl Farrow provides invaluable secretarial assistance and website support.
